A fairly large complex that seems to have a fair bit going on. But if you're new there, there are no directions to the main car park nor anything to help tell you where the main entrance is either!! Once inside, it smells very very sweaty & doesn't look real clean so first impressions aren't the best. Plus it's in dire need of re-decorating & a good smarten up to make it look like a place you'd want to actually join. So, not the best welcome but hopefully what it has to offer with the gym & the pool etc will go some way towards helping you to have a more positive & enjoyable experience.
Good swim. Hot showers. Pity jacuzzi is often out of order
Smell of bad drains the past few times I have swam there, going just like Northwich pool! It seems to have gone downhill since new management. Love the place but it's starting to get very smelly and needs to be cleaned more thoroughly
Reasonable pool (both small and main) and gym facilities, but changing rooms don't seem to be cleaned very often (they often smell and have pooled water constantly - I've only once seen someone squeeging the water...)Small pool tends to be a bit chilly for babies, staff aren't always as helpful as they could be. Improvements could be made.Can't speak to the gym facilities or sauna etc.
Squash courts are some of the best in the area but can be pricey even with a full paid membership. The best day to go for paid members is on a Sunday where you can have a free session. Would give 5 stars but my only pet peeve is the white metal trays near the roof. I have lost many squash balls to these, please put some sort of angled guard on it so save my pocket.
